This double bill features the combined creative talents of composers and choreographers making for an evening of dance that will energise and inspire you.
Ezio Bosso, for the first time, plays his composition live to accompany Bonachela’s stunning choreography. Jacopo Godani continues the theme of shared creations with German music duo 48 Nord to create a powerful new piece.

Rafael Bonachela’s critically acclaimed full-length work, The Land of Yes and The Land of No has delighted audiences in Europe and now it’s our turn. Set to an emotionally evocative score by Ezio Bosso, this work is Bonachela’s deepest exploration into the human psyche, the power of imagination and the body’s ability to give physical shape to memory, experience and emotion.

Touring in 2011
Throughout the year, the company will be undertaking an extensive tour to major cities and regional centres throughout Australia and also internationally. The full touring program will be announced in January 2011. But we’re pleased to announce that we will be presenting a double bill, Between Breath & Form, at the Canberra Theatre Centre in May and taking the extremely successful we unfold to the Darwin Festival in August.
The Wharf Open Day
Sydney Dance Company is excited to be taking part in this year’s Wharf Open Day. From 10am-5pm this Sunday 5 December, head down to The Wharf and take part in our free dance classes, hear Rafael Bonachela speak with the other Artistic Directors and catch some excerpts from the Sydney Dance Company dancers. It’s going to be a fantastic day!
Festival Inside Out
In January for the Sydney Festival, join us in Parramatta and Penrith for free performances with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. The company will be taking the stage with Rafael Bonachela’s stunning work 6 Breaths . See the Sydney Festival website for more details.
