Australasian Dance Collective Launches Online Classes
#collectivelyconnected
Queensland-based contemporary company Australasian Dance Collective (formerly Expressions Dance Company) have launched Collectively Connected ⏤ a series of digital classes aimed at building community and connection, all while getting us moving and grooving.
“Social isolation is helping to keep us safe, but we are also really conscious of the need for people to feel connected and inspired,” says Australasian Dance Collective Artistic Director, Amy Hollingsworth.
“So from Monday April 6th, we’re turning your living rooms into dance floors, with classes to cater for everyone from professional and pre-professional dancers to those simply looking to unwind with yoga, or work up a sweat and get those endorphins flowing with HIIT.”
Amy is kicked off proceedings at 6pm on Monday 6th April with a class focused on honing technique. Then Wednesday, it was Jake McLarnon with Get Fit For THREE – a workout based around the movement from the company’s triple bill.
Classes are being held every Monday and Wednesday, while Fridays are all about inspiration as our socials take you behind the scenes of the collective.
Mondays 6–7pm (AEST) #classwiththecollective
Mondays sees ADC deliver a contemporary or ballet class specifically designed for professional and pre-professional dancers to hone and finesse technique, stamina and strength in the confines of your living rooms.
Wednesdays 6–6.30pm (AEST) #collectivelyfit
This class is suitable for everyone! Amy and the dancers of the collective will take turns putting you through your paces with fitness classes – HIIT, pilates and yoga. Get a sweat on, get the heart rate up and let those endorphins flow.
