Norwegian Cruise Line is known throughout the cruise line industry for producing the highest quality entertainment with talented cast members from around the world. They are currently running the following Broadway shows; Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, After Midnight, Million Dollar Quartet, Swing, Legally Blonde, For The Record and Vegas The Show.
In addition to it’s Broadway line up, Norwegian Cruise Line’s original productions, which are amongst the most spectacular at sea, include; Paradis, Elements, Lights, Camera, Music!, and Soul Rockin’ Nights.
Norwegian Creative Studios has enjoyed great success in finding talent with their Australian Auditions Tour. Production Casting Director, Kai Alan Carrier says, “Australia is currently producing the most well rounded dancers we see in the industry. They have outstanding technique and are well versed in all styles of dance including tap, which is hard to find.”
According to Daniel LoBuono, Manager of Theatrical Operations “Australia is our sole target in casting lead roles for Priscilla Queen Of The Desert. There is a deep pool of talented performers in Australia who give the show a degree of authenticity, humour and style. We are seeking that same type of performer for the other Broadway shows in our fleet as well.”
DANCERS
- Seeking dancers with strong technique and experience in multiple dance styles.
- You will learn a variety of combinations and may be asked to tap.
- Must have an athletic, lean/toned body.
- Males should have a strong physique and be able to perform onstage shirtless when required.
- Female dancers should have statuesque lean silhouettes.
- Gymnastics, aerial training, tumbling & partnering skills are a plus!
- Bring a picture and resume stapled together as well as jazz shoes/character heels and tap shoes if you have them.
SINGERS
- Seeking diverse performers with strong vocal abilities and dynamic personalities for R&B, Pop/Rock and Contemporary Musical Theatre.
- Prepare 16-32 bars of your BEST ballad and up-tempo vocals.
- You are required to bring sheet music in the proper key for the provided accompanist.
- You may be asked to learn a short dance combination.
- Proper dance attire must be worn.
- An audition for production vocalists will be held for the shows which are performed throughout the Norwegian fleet.
