Sydney born Veronica Beattie completed her certificate in Performing Arts at David Atkins’ Dynamite Dance Studios in 1996 and since has enjoyed a successful and versatile career in entertainment. In a ten year period, Veronica has amassed an impressive repertoire in musical theatre, enabling her to showcase her classic style. In 2006, Veronica had the pleasure of performing in the Australian Production of the The Boy from Oz, starring Tony award winning Hugh Jackman.
Veronica has also performed in Graham Murphy’s Tivoli with the Sydney Dance Company and the Brisbane season of the hit musical The Wizard of Oz. Twice Veronica was called upon to perform in Grease. She toured Australia and New Zealand in the original tour of Grease -the Arena Spectacular in 1998 and in 1995 as Dance Captain. Her love of the more stylised musical pieces was realized when she was honoured to kick up heels for Baz Luhrman as the tattooed can-can dancer in Moulin Rouge. In addition prior to filming Veronica enjoyed being a part of the workshop team.
Outside of theatre performance, Veronica has travelled extensively for many corporate events and product launches. More recently the demand for Veronica as a commercial dancer has seen her perform on The Midday Show and work for choreographer/ directors such as John O’Connell, Rickard Wherrett, William A Forsythe, Keith Hawley, Kelley Abbey, Alana Scanlan and Ross Coleman.
Veronica has previously performed with Wayne at the Jupiter’s Casino in Rhonda Burchmore’s Fever for the Live at the J series.
