IGNITION | Australian Dance Theatre
July 9-16 Adelaide College of the Arts
Five of Australia’s most-exciting, emerging choreographers will unveil their latest works in the return season of Ignition.
Curated by Artistic Director Garry Stewart, Ignition includes short works performed by Australian Dance Theatre (ADT) dancers, created by current ADT dancers and independent choreographers.
Previous seasons of Ignition have helped launch the careers of notable Australian dance makers Lina Limosani, Anton, Tanja Liedtke, Larissa McGowan and Antony Hamilton.
Performed by the extraordinarily talented ADT dancers, Ignition includes a 30-minute piece from acclaimed choreographer Lina Limosani.
As part of this year’s exciting program, under the theme of ‘history’, ADT has commissioned in-demand independent choreographer Lina Limosani to develop and present the next stage of her work, One’s Wicked Ways, as part of the program. Set in the baroque period, One’s Wicked Ways is a reflection on our propensity toward perverse pleasures and gluttony.
Don’t miss this limited season of powerful ideas and diverse talents from the next wave of Australian choreographers!
Other featured Choreographers are: Erin Fowler, Katrina Lazaroff, and ADT dancers Thomas Fonua and Matte Roffe.
