Bangarra Dance Theatre
This month, Yuldea made its world premiere at the Sydney Opera House. They celebrated the opening of Frances Rings’ first work as Artistic Director with their dancers, creatives, consultants, production crew and generous supporters and friends.
Bangarra Dance Theatre is indebted to the Aboriginal people of Koonibba, Ceduna, Yalata and Oak Valley for sharing their story and allowing Bangarra Dance Theatre to walk with them on their journey of healing. They welcomed Cultural Consultants Maureen Smart and Clem Lawrie to the first performances of Yuldea alongside members of the Yalata Community, and express their deepest gratitude for the guidance and knowledge they have shared throughout the development of this work.
