5 young talents from the Prix de Lausanne partners schools and junior companies have been selected to participate in the 2025 Young Creation Award, on Wednesday 5 February 2025 at Beaulieu, Lausanne.

The Young Creation Award, a choreographic competition for young dancers from their partner schools, will be held for the fifth year running during the 53rd edition of the Prix de Lausanne, 2-9 February 2025. For this edition, 56 young choreographers (34 girls and 22 boys) from 24 partner schools, and 21 countries submitted a variation, from which 5 were selected :

  • MOCKRISH Alexander (Sweden) – ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School Dancer : QUINER Caroline (USA)
  • CHIU Hsin Yi (China) – Palucca University of Dance Dresden Dancer : JUO Anthony (Canada)
  • NATZKE Sky (Portugal) – Zurich Dance Academy Dancer : MIELLE Timothe (France)
  • LICHTMACHER Henry (USA) – Houston Ballet Academy Dancer : WESTERMAN Alex (USA)
  • PHILIPS Giulia (Portugal) – National Conservatory Dance School Lisbon – EDCN Dancer : SALAZAR Rita (Portugal)

All variations will be presented during the Choreographic Evening, on Wednesday 5 February 2025, from which 2 winners will be selected by the Prix de Lausanne Jury. The 2 winning choreographies will then be presented during the Finals’ Interlude, as well as on the Sunday, 9 February, during the Rising Stars event.

These variations will then be included in the Prix de Lausanne repertoire of contemporary variations for the 2026 edition.
